Cafes in Dubai are a dime a dozen, but nothing refreshes my fancy akin to a thirst-quenching concoction on a hot summer’s day, quite like a cafe that warrants a feeling of being a guest at a tea party in Alice’s Wonderland. With an array of sweet treats and sinful desserts lined up, to an impressive menu of fresh juices, smoothies, specialty coffee and custom teas, making a choice would deem somewhat taxing. L’eto means ‘summer’ and it sure lives up to its name with a bright and cheery disposition, an air of whimsy and vintage charm.
The Honey Cake is their house special for very good reason, and they had recently introduced the Elderflower and Blueberry cheesecake from the London branch which we just had to get a taste of. However, the strawberry cheesecake embraced in crumble with a piquant jam center definitely stole the cake for me! As for their custom tea, we tried the Melon & Mango which you can drink hot or cold. If you’re not typically a tea drinker, you may change your mind after you’ve tried these flavored infusions.
Aside from the all-day breakfast menu and a plethora of sumptuous desserts, @letocaffe.ae also offers a choice of fusion dishes for lunch and dinner. We ordered the Lamb Royal Tagine so tender it crumbled at the slightest touch, Seafood Pasta with fresh shell fish and completely smothered in shredded crab meat, and the Chicken Terriyaki that had been marinated in sauce for 12 hours making It flavorful to the very core, with a side of crispy sweet potato chips.
