Paradise Amidst The Wilderness
Although it took us 4 hours to drive from Dubai to Abu Dhabi in order to reach the Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort, which literally made you feel like you’d driven into a vast wilderness of infinite hills and plains – the arrival was worth it. It was ‘Paradise’ in all sense of the word.
My husband described it as an Arabian ‘Santorini’ and indeed it was – the desert sands mimicking the deep blue waters of Greece. We lazed for hours on the balcony of our room drinking in the breathtaking panoramic view of Arabian villas that stretched out for acres over the highs and lows of the desert landscape fading into the sunset.
It was a sunny weekend, albeit the cool breeze that whistled in the air, and on such occasion I opted for a leopard print maxi dress, a braided waist belt and leather flip-flops – the most comfortable attire for rejuvenating in the wilderness.
