Al Aqah Moments at Le Meridien

Al Aqah Moments at Le Meridien

I was delighted to be part of the 15th year celebration of Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, and take the reins this weekend to show everyone around the iconic beach resort in Fujairah that stands tall among the rocky mountains that surround it. You may have gotten a taste of my experiences on the official Le Meridien Al Aqah Instagram page as I took over for 24 hours, if not, here you are.

Royal Club Suite

A warm welcome and sweet surprises from Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort as I lounged in the Royal Club suite. Popping open a bottle of Prosecco and making it rain like there’s no tomorrow! With ample living space in the Royal Club Suite Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort I literally could have hosted a delightful little soirée right here.

Do you find yourself craving French toast at 9pm or having pancakes for lunch? Then you’re an all-day breakfast kind of person just like me! The perks of staying at a lavish hotel such as the Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort is that you can spoil yourself with breakfast in bed, serving eggs made to order, pastries freshly baked, a steaming cup of coffee, and the promise of a lazy day ahead. Because sometimes we just need a break.

There’s nothing more relaxing on a lazy Saturday morning gazing out at the panoramic view of the ocean Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, while the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, the whiff of sweet pastries, crisp bacon and sunny-side-up eggs, and the notion that today is your time to just do nothing at all, is quite therapeutic.

Waking up to this breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean was the highlight of our stay Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort. How peaceful it is to be enveloped by pastel skies as the sun says buenos dias and rises to the occasion. When you can lounge on a deck chair from the comfort of your own massive balcony, there be no need to head to the beachfront and get your feet dirty.

The Property

The UAE has always been my home, and weekend getaways while growing up were spent road-tripping around the seven Emirates. We used to drive by the coast of Fujairah and like a landmark there stood the Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, a modern structure amidst the rocky mountains.

What floats your boat? An early morning dip in the lukewarm waters of the expansive pool or surrendering to euphoria adrift on an inflated pink flamingo? Obviously I chose the latter and caught a little snooze before the sun reached its peak and the other hotel guests made their way to the blue lagoons. Set against the backdrop of the iconic Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, I couldn’t have asked for anything better than this.

The sun’s out, the water’s warm. The weekend’s here, I’ve got my shades on! Take me back to Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort where the only decision you’ll have to make is whether to dive into the expansive pool or take a dip in the stretch of private beach overlooking the resort.

All Day Dining

Sinking my teeth into saucy beef ribs, crispy prawns and calamari, amidst the salty sea breeze, the calming rush of waves brushing against the coast, set against the backdrop of the boundless sea. The Gonu Bar & Grill Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort sure makes for a tasty haven.

Sipping on a sunset at Gonu Bar & Grill Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, perfect to cool myself down with a bright and sunny concoction.

Who needs Happy Hour when you’ve got privileged rights to drinks at Astro’s between 7pm to 9pm if you’re checked in to the Royal Club Suite Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort. I opted for a mild sparkling wine which was sweet and effervescent, though after just one glass I happened to get a bit tipsy, what a lightweight!

You are the curry to my lobster. The reason I leave the best for last because I like to relish the infused spices and the tender lobster bites, so that the taste lingers on my palate even after the night is through. A sumptuous Indian feast awaits at Swaad Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort.

Read between the lines because Views Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort has an extensive all-day dining ‘East-meets-West’ fusion menu that will leave you spoiled for choice. The high atrium ceilings accentuated with wooden beams and an immersive panoramic view of the lush green foliage that skirts across the property, makes for a idyllic dining experience.
