Here Comes The Sun

Beach weather, here it comes! And if you’re not uber sensitive to the sun’s UV rays like I am, now is the time to get a good tan before the scorching heat of Summer makes it impossible. This weekend, I went on a road trip with my family to Ras Al Khaimah. Compared to Dubai, the weather in Ras Al Khaimah was much cooler with a pleasant sea breeze that made it ideal for a picnic on the beach.

Here Comes The Sun

I wore a wide brim straw hat that I had bought on holiday last year from a street vendor in Beijing. It was a hit among my cousins who had tried it on for size and for selfies! I wore a tie-dye maxi dress with hues of pink, blue and purple. I’ve never worn a tie-dye dress before, mainly because I never found a color combination I liked or felt that the patterns were a bit too big, over-powering my petite frame. Then I found this dress, and the rest is history. Tie-dye is synonymous with beachwear so I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of it in the coming months.

To complete my look I wore tan embellished sandals and a tan tote bag, which matched my beach hat. Keeping it neutral with accessories lets the dress steal the spotlight, and if you’re going for a standout dress, it’s always best to keep accessories to a bare minimum.
