Denim And Damask
The weather aint getting any better, and it won’t be for the next couple of months. Even in a loose skirt and lightweight shirt, you still end up sweating the very minute you walk out the door. I couldn’t even stay out past five minutes for this photo shoot as it was scorching hot and in that short amount of time my face already turned into a reflector! Can’t wait for cooler weather to come save me from my misery, but till then, I’ve just got to deal with it.
Today’s look is very 50s inspired. Lately, I’ve really been loving the high-waisted skirt and wide waist belt combo that accentuates an hourglass figure. What’s missing from this outfit is a scarf around my crowning glory and I’d be the epitome of a ‘Stepford Wife’. Because I wear jeans ever so sparingly, I get my denim fix by wearing denim jackets, skirts and shirts. Denim is a wardrobe staple as you can literally pair it with almost anything! Here I’ve paired a button-down denim shirt with a Damask pattern skirt, and accessorized the look with a handbag, belt and flats in nude tones.
