It was a cruel cruel summer. But despite the scorching heat, Beijing was beautiful. It’s a city bustling with people, overflowing with culture and heritage amidst the modern infrastructure, where old meets new in perfect balance.
When dressing for summer vacation I keep it light, light on your body and light on your luggage. For my holiday to Beijing I decided on breathable cotton and chiffon short dresses and playsuits, to pair with lightweight open cardigans. Then I opted for open-toed wedges and slip-ons which are comfortable yet stylish for long walks while exploring the sights to complete my summer outfit. I usually bring a good sized bag on holiday that goes well with most outfits and has enough room to store souvenirs I may pick up along the way, hence I had chosen a tan leather shopper’s bag.
